Pastor Lars Edson
Lars Edson has had multiple careers over the years along with living across the country. From Ski Coaching throughout the West and Rocky Mountain States, HVAC sales and engineering in Delaware and Florida, and owned a successful Yacht Brokerage in Florida with his wife.
Lars and his wife were both saved in 1998 and married in 1999. They attended and served at multiple churches and denominations but it wasn’t till they were invited by friends to Calvary Chapel in 2010 that they found a church that taught verse by verse, book by book, and immediately knew this was where God wanted them to be.
After selling the yacht brokerage they moved to Tennessee and fell in love with the people and the area. Lars thought he and his wife would finally settle down and plant roots.
But God had other plans at the time and urged both of them to move back to Florida to Punta Gorda. Once there they started attending The Rock Calvary Chapel and soon after the enrolled in there School of Ministry program. While in the School of Ministry, God gave Lars and his wife a calling to not only become a pastor but to plant a Calvary Chapel and bring verse by verse teaching to Bristol, TN. True North Calvary Chapel was established in 2026. Lars has a son who is currently serving in the USAF.
